BIRDING - Best in Spring and early Summer. See 30-40 different species daily. Individual trails and guided tours available. See the Checklist of birds found in the area. Two hour guided tour for up to 6 people. **$ 60.00

WILDLIFE TOURS - 4x4 vehicles are great for viewing the abundant wildlife including deer, wild boar, birds, and predators. See lists of birds, reptiles, snakes and mammals found in the area. Two hour tour for up to 6 people. **$ 60.00

BIKING - Bring your bike and try some of our trails. These trails are designated for bikes only and range from beginner to intermediate. Included with any stay. Call for pricing on group events or outings.

HIKING - Bring a light pack and a water bottle. Go at your own pace and enjoy the scenery, sunsets, and the peaceful countryside. There's plenty of elbow room! Included with any stay. Call for pricing on group events or outings.

HUNTING - Hunt native game on 23,000 acres including whitetail deer, wild boar, wild quail, Rio Grande turkeys and predators. We have package hunts that include great meals, lodging at the historic ranch headquarters and experienced guides. We also have some day hunts for dove and hogs and offer leases on other ranches. Accommodations

Come get away and relax on the ranch with your family, co-workers, or church group.

Our Headquarters (HQ) has fourteen twin sized beds, a trundle bed, a queen sized bed and a king sized bed in four separate rooms. There is an adjacent bunk house with two sets of bunk beds (sleeps four) and a separate bath. No smoking and no pets inside headquarters. Pets must be kept in a outside kennel or on a lease at all times. There is a minimum charge of $625 per night for the first five guests to rent the HQ without meals. There is an additional charge of $50 per night for each additional guest. There is no charge for children 2 years and under.

The Fort Griffin officer's quarters rents for $135.00 for two persons per night. There is an additional charge of $15.00 per night for each additional guest. There is no charge for children 2 years and under. Fort Griffin is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. No smoking and no pets inside the quarters. Animals must be kept in an outside kennel or on a leash at all times.

The Fort Concho officer's quarters rents for $175.00 for four persons per night. There is an additional charge of $15.00 per night for each additional guest. There is no charge for children 2 years and under. Fort Concho is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. No smoking and no pets inside the quarters. Animals must be kept in an outside kennel or on a leash at all times.

Meals

Three ranch meals can be included at an additional charge of $200 per day for the first five guests and $40 per day for each additional guest over 12 years old. All meals are prepared and served at the HQ.

Deposit

A 50% deposit is required to hold any reservation and is required for groups of 5 or more. In the event of a cancellation, the deposit will only be refunded if the reserved dates and accommodations are taken by another guest.

Warnings & Restrictions

There are many potential "dangers, toils and snares" on the ranch including, but not limited to, open bodies of water, poisonous snakes, scorpions, spiders, cactus, mesquite, rocks, vehicles, equipment, livestock and wild animals; therefore, adults must be alert and exercise caution, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and pets must be kept in an outside kennel or on a leash at all times. There are no lifeguards on duty; therefore, all swimmers assume the risk and take responsibility for their own safety.

If you have an accident, are injured or bitten, report it immediately, so that ranch personnel can help you.

No smoking and no pets inside the accommodations or other ranch facilities. No fires or fire arms are allowed without authorization. Drive all vehicles on designated ranch roads. No one is allowed to drive around on the ranch unless accompanied by a ranch employee. The speed limit on the ranch is 5 mph in sight or within 300 yards of any ranch facility or accommodation and 20 mph on the other ranch roads. Do not climb on or attempt to operate any ranch equipment or animal unless authorized to do so. Do not open any gate unless authorized to do so. While we do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, daily or seasonal use of some or all of the ranch may be limited by ongoing ranch operations.

Finally, Stasney's Cook Ranch reserves the right to immediately revoke privileges and/or terminate the stay of any guest or visitor for failure to adhere to any of the above guidelines or engaging in any other unreasonable, dangerous or discourteous conduct.
